Tanjung Sari is more than a hotel. It is a gallery of the fabled Balinese artistic genius, the product of a quarter-century creative partnership with the same group of craftsmen, across two generations. Priceless antiques, both Balinese and Dutch colonial, are also exhibited throughout the property.

Tandjung sari, a precious original, opened in 1962 as four -bungalow extension to the family home of Proprietor Wija Wawo-Runtu. Today's 26-bungalows set in lush tropical gardens on Bali's Sanur beach, retains the exclusive ambience of a private family retreat.

Every bungalow at Tanjung Sari is as individual and special as the guests themselves. Each Balinese style unit has its own private garden, some the sensual freedom of an open-air shower. All provide modern conveniences from air-conditioning, king and queen size beds, baths, bidets, International Direct Dialing telephone facilities, refrigerators and hair dryers.

• Village Bungalows (16 units) Large bedroom/living room with kingsize bed and two sofas convertible to single beds. Large bathroom with private outdoor shower in courtyard and private "bale" in garden.

• Two Storey Bungalows (5 units) Upstairs bedroom with queen size bed and windows on three slides looking out into the garden. Downstairs living room with queen size day bed, dressing room and bathroom.

• Garden Sea View Bungalow (1 unit) Large bedroom / living room with queen size bed and bathroom. Covered porch with sea view and private courtyard with lily pond and outdoor shower.

• Garden Bungalow (1 unit) Upstairs living room with ocean view. Ground floor bedroom with queen size bed and private courtyard and covered porch.

• Beach Bungalows (2 units) Upstairs living room with ocean views. Ground floor bedroom and bathroom with private courtyard and outdoor shower. Open verandah leads to garden.

• Twin Bedroom Bungalows (2 units) Two separate bedrooms each with their own bathroom and covered terrace under one room.

• Family Bungalow (1 unit) Two Bedrooms with kingsize beds, ensuite bathrooms and private courtyards. Living and dining areas. Upstairs covered porch with ocean view.
