Komodo Island

Komodo island is a dried hilly isolated land located between Sumbawa island and Flores island for about 1 hours by flight from Bali. The most interesting places to visit or the biggest tourist attraction of the island is the giant lizard called Komodo Dragon.There are twice a week of flights from Bali to Bima (east Sumbawa) from where you should take a boat (tourist boat) from the harbour to Komodo island. Lombok Island

Lombok is only 30 minutes by flight from Bali. One ever said you can see Bali in Lombok but never you can see Lombok in Bali. This is unique but in fact is reality. Lombok in western part is deeply influenced by Balinese culture while the middle area up to eastmost more closer to Moslem culture. In the early 17th century, the eastern Bali kingdom took control of western Lombok at the same time Makasarese crossed the strait and established the settlement in eastern Lombok.

Toraja

The name of Toraja is derived from Bugis word "toriaja" meaning men of the mountain. The people of Toraja believe you can take possessions with you and the dead generally go well equipped to their graves. Since this led to grave plundering, the Toraja started to hide their dead in caves or hew riches out of rock faces.

Bromo

Bromo can be accessed by a halfday trip from Bali by flight and land transportation. It is a highland to see the crater on still active volcano and to witness the most sunrise view from the peak of the mountain. Here you can also experience to sit on horse back passing through small gulf.
