Visa Regulation
This is the regulation effectively from 1 February 2004
that all visitors traveling to Indonesia must be in possession of a passport valid
for at least six months from the date of arrival and have proof of onward passage.
I. Free Visa Visas are not required for nationals of:
Thailand, Macao,
Malaysia, Chili, Singapore, Morocco, Brunei Darussalam, Peru, Philippines, Vietnam,
Hong Kong
2. Visa On Arrival (VoA)
Visa on Arrival are required
for nationals of:
USA (United State Of America), Australia, South Africa,
Argentina, Brazil, Denmark, Arab Emirate, Finland, Hungary, UK (United Kingdom),
Italy, Japan, German, Canada, South Korea, Norway, France, Poland, Swiss, New
Zealand, Taiwan
Entry and exit must be made through certain specified gateways:
By air through: Jakarta, Bali, Medan, Manado, Pakan Baru, Padang, and Surabaya.
By sea through: Batam, Belawan, Sibolga, Dumai, Padang, Jakarta, Bali, and Jayapura.
For other ports of entry and exit special visas are required.
3. For
those not belonging to the above categories, tourist visas can be obtained from
any Indonesian Embassy or Consulate.
